A little about me

I realize that I have not taken the time to introduce myself here yet….

Probably should have started with that, but better late than never, right?!

I always think it’s a bit awkward when introducing myself to be honest.

Why?

Because there is literally no way to sum up an entire lifetime in an appropriate-length blog, and sharing a highlight reel feels deceiving.

But, nevertheless, here is me…or at least what I’m willing to share 😉

I’m 5’4″…..

Just kidding, you thought this was going south real fast, didn’t ya? 🙂

OK, in all seriousness, for the purposes of this blog, here’s what you need to know:

I am a Mom to five amazing kids, one of whom is Deaf and uses American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate. Which means, my family and I use ASL to communicate with her.

I have worked supporting families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) for nearly 14 years, and it is something I truly love.

I have several chronic illnesses which I mostly manage with my lifestyle. Helping others care for themselves through simple lifestyle habits is also something that I love.

I am recently divorced and learning to navigate life as a single mother. And all that comes with life post-divorce.

I started Life Coaching last year and have fallen in love with learning about the mind, the power we have to create the lives we want, and teaching others to do the same.

My specific focus as a Life Coach is to help parents and caregivers of Deaf and hard of hearing children learn to care for themselves so that they can better care for their children with extra needs.

But truly, anyone who cares for others needs to know how to care for themselves as well. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and learning to fill your cup truly helps you fill other’s better.

I started this blog as a way to share some of these tools that I’ve learned and hopefully help you along your own journey of life, wherever you may be.
